La cadena de multitiendas Barneys de New York se ha asociado con Disney para realizar una campaña llamada “Electric Holiday”, en la que aparecen algunos personajes Disney inmersos en el mundo de la moda.

 Minnie sueña con ir a la Semana de la Moda en París, y lo que vemos es precisamente su sueño. 

  

 

 
 Junto a los personajes de Disney Minnie, Mickey, Goofy, Tiana vestidos por diseñadores como Balenciaga, Balmain, Lanvin,… , aparecen en el vídeo personajes en primera fila como Sarah Jessica Parker, Daphne Guinness, Lady Gaga, Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista y Bryan Boy, fotógrafos como Steven Meisel, Mario Sorrenti y Juergen Teller, editores como Glenda Bailey, Bridget Foley, Emmanuelle Alt, Suzy Menkes, Franca Sozzani, Carine Roitfeld, Cathy Horyn y Anna Dello Russo y detrás de escena están Guido Palau, Pat McGrath, Julien d’Ys, Alber Elbaz, Nicolas Ghesquière y Ed Filipowski.

El nombre de la canción The Veldt (el altiplano sudafricano) viene de la historia escrita por Ray Bradbury , autor conocido por sus obras Crónicas marcianas (1950) y Fahrenheit 451 (1953). 


The track takes its name and inspiration from the 1950 short story The Veldt by the late great sci-fy writer Ray Bradbury . The Veldt is a short story that was published originally as "The World the Children Made" in 1950, later republished in the anthology The Illustrated Man in 1951.

Esta historia es sorprendente, sobre todo porque habla de máquinas, realidad virtual, ... en los años 50: "Una familia vive en una casa automatizada a la que llaman "la casa de la vida feliz", llena de máquinas que hacen de todo, cocinar, vestirles, acunarles. Los dos hijos, Peter y Wendy, están fascinados por la habitación de juegos, una "habitación de realidad virtual" que es capaz de conectarse telepáticamente con los niños y recrear cualquier sitio que se imaginen.

Los padres pronto se dan cuenta de que algo no va bien con su estilo de vida, y están descorcertados cuando se dan cuenta que la habitación de juegos está situada en el altiplano africano, con leones en la distancia, comiendo restos de lo que suponen es un animal. Los padres se preguntan el porqué de su obsesión con esta escena y deciden llamar a un psicólogo....

El arte de limpiar los zapatos!

Ha sido ver este vídeo y acordarme rápidamente de mis amigos Ignacio y Catuxa que están aprendiendo todos los secretos del oficio de zapatero, vamos, que dentro de nada serán famosos diseñadores de zapatos (no digáis que no os avisé!).

¿Y qué tiene que ver este vídeo de cómo limpiar los zapatos? Vedlo y entenderéis porqué!



Mr Justin FitzPatrick es un zapatero, con una marca reconocida, y a pesar de ello, dedica muchas horas al cuidado del calzado, a su limpieza y mantenimiento. Su especialidad es sacarles brillo de una forma artesanal lenta y cuidadosa, de forma que los restaura y nutre, antes de sacarles un brillo espectacular! Para ello dedica unas 3 horas, y consigue cambiar la apariencia del zapato por completo!

Atención chicos, ¿sabéis cual es el secreto si váis a limpiaros los zapatos? 
Dejar secarlos entre cada paso, no hay que correr - es una cuestión de delicadeza, arte y elegancia

Hay que saber cuidar con mimo esos zapatos maravillosos que tenemos, de qué sirve tener unos zapatos buenísimos si no sabemos cuidarlos y mantenerlos. Y es que saber hacerlo bien es un arte!

Psss, ahí va otro secreto... para darles ultra brillo, utilizad unas medias de mujer para "pulir" bien todos los lados, y os recomienda hacer este paso cada noche para mantener el brillo!!!!

Metronics en el Hormiguero

 

 
Hace unos meses hablaba en un post de la empresa navarra Metronics en la que trabaja mi amiga Natalia, con motivo del cumpleaños de un amigo (Roberto), para el que utilizando sus máquinas de agua a presión y una foto de su guitarra Fender, logró tener una tarta de cumpleaños chulísima.

Hoy os escribo para contaros que llevaron una de esas máquinas al Hormiguero de Antena3, y como siempre hicieron un experimento: Marrón y El hombre de Negro demostraron el poder del agua a presión. Con una máquina que proyecta un chorro de agua presión enseñaron que puede hacer cortes perfectos en materiales muy distintos.

Por mi parte, decir que la carta de Días de Sur en Santander es impresionante, todo buenísimo... y qué decir de los sobaos "El Macho"... os aseguro que entran aunque te de cargo de conciencia (y a los niños les encantan!). Como bien dice Mr Wonderful, es una mini guía, yo añadiría parada en Laredo, su playa es impresionante, comida en Ogarrio en Casa Tomás, un chocolate con picatostes en Limpias y una visita a Cabárceno!!! He dicho!

Poco a poco vamos entrando en el día a día, después de estos días de vacaciones... y la vuelta está costando muchísimo, que si colegios, libros, uniformes, trabajo, casa, blog, tienda online, etc, etc... un poco locura.

Os recomiendo esta canción para la vuelta... para no estresaros, y empezar con buen pie, por lo menos es la sensación que me da a mí, así que la quiero compartir con todos, para que en caso de necesidad, os acordéis de ella y la podáis escuchar...
