Este tipo de tumor maligno es el más común entre los varones jóvenes. Son diagnosticados cada año con esta enfermedad, entre 8.000 y 9.000 varones en Estados Unidos, 1.400 en el Reino Unido, sobre 10.000 en la Unión Europea, unos 500 en España. A lo largo de la vida, la probabilidad de desarrollar cáncer de testículo es de 1 entre 250 (0,4%), aunque la incidencia varía en función de las razas. La mayor incidencia se da entre los varones de raza blanca de parte del norte de Europa. En la Unión Europea la menor incidencia se presenta en España.

Los síntomas incluyen (wikipedia):
-Un pequeño bulto fijo en el propio testículo, generalmente indoloro, pequeño dolor o pesadez en un testículo (sin haber recibido ningún golpe reciente)
-Una repentina acumulación de fluido en el escroto
-Ligero agrandamiento o molestias en los pezones o en los pechos
-Dolor sordo en el bajo vientre o la ingle
-Aumento o disminución significativos del tamaño de un testículo

Una vez más el "uso" de la mujer en los anuncios a debate (aunque esta vez no es para vender) ... y a vosotros qué os parece?

La cadena de multitiendas Barneys de New York se ha asociado con Disney para realizar una campaña llamada “Electric Holiday”, en la que aparecen algunos personajes Disney inmersos en el mundo de la moda.

El nombre de la canción The Veldt (el altiplano sudafricano) viene de la historia escrita por Ray Bradbury , autor conocido por sus obras Crónicas marcianas (1950) y Fahrenheit 451 (1953). 


The track takes its name and inspiration from the 1950 short story The Veldt by the late great sci-fy writer Ray Bradbury . The Veldt is a short story that was published originally as "The World the Children Made" in 1950, later republished in the anthology The Illustrated Man in 1951.

Esta historia es sorprendente, sobre todo porque habla de máquinas, realidad virtual, ... en los años 50: "Una familia vive en una casa automatizada a la que llaman "la casa de la vida feliz", llena de máquinas que hacen de todo, cocinar, vestirles, acunarles. Los dos hijos, Peter y Wendy, están fascinados por la habitación de juegos, una "habitación de realidad virtual" que es capaz de conectarse telepáticamente con los niños y recrear cualquier sitio que se imaginen.

Los padres pronto se dan cuenta de que algo no va bien con su estilo de vida, y están descorcertados cuando se dan cuenta que la habitación de juegos está situada en el altiplano africano, con leones en la distancia, comiendo restos de lo que suponen es un animal. Los padres se preguntan el porqué de su obsesión con esta escena y deciden llamar a un psicólogo....
